The Adventures of Wedding Dress Shopping!

I never realized how tiring wedding dress shopping could be! Although I am worn out, we had a pretty successful day. We started with my bridesmaids trying on dresses and after an hour and a half we finally had one picked out. It is not what I had in mind, but it fits all of their body's perfectly. Plus, its a flowy dress so it will look good for a summer wedding. The candle lighters' dresses match the bridesmaids' dresses so it all worked out. I only tried on about 8 dresses, but I was still unsure. I am leaning toward a beaded lace, chiffon style dress. My mom and I are actually going back next Saturday. I did try on the halter dress that I loved in the magazine, but it was my least favorite in real life. Its funny how that happens! Linked below are pictures of the bridemaids' and candle lighers' dresses.

I really like your choices. You're right, they will be nice for a summer wedding. I found it funny that you said the one you liked best was NOT your first choice in real life. When I went, it was the exact same way. The dress I ended up getting was one I hadn't even considered trying on. I just slipped it on 'for fun' and it was the one I just loved. You have so much fun ahead of you. Daniel and I just viewed our DVD from the wedding day. It was such a perfect day and holds so many wonderful memories. Have fun!

I will have to take these things into consideration as well. I am going in 2 weeks and know that I will probably have to take more than one day to go to different places, but I guess we will see. It is good to hear about your experience though. Where did you go? Just to David's Bridal? Any suggestions?

I too tried on my favorite dress from a magazine and absolutely hated it! I thought I wanted something very formal and satin but ended up with a simple chiffon dress. You will know the dress when you find it. You will undoubtedly cry or at least tear up a little bit. You just know!
